In addition to creating this material, I was part of the early exploration R&D small group tasked with determining the types of materials and set dressing we would need. We were also responsible for creating vignettes to guide the team on the in-game look and feel.
This particular material was designed for E-District's outdoor environments and is vertex-tintable, allowing us to adjust its color to match various environments.
This material also has different damage states set up so the artist has free reign to blend it how they wish. Even used to blend with other materials for a smooth transition.
